Did you know …

… that there are at least three Aotearoa/New Zealand and Australian online sources of resources for worship leaders?

logov2_180xKereru Publishing – Resourcing Christian Spirituality – Andrew Gamman and Caroline Bindon write,  “Our dream is to provide resources to engage, encourage and inspire a generation of seed dispersers for the Christian faith.”

Check out their free resources …

Philip Garside Publishing – Your One-Stop Shop for Book Services –

Since 1999, we have published many New Zealand non-fiction print books, mainly on progressive/liberal Christian, social justice/history and pacifist topics.

We now also produce and help you to market eBooks and print books in fiction (novels and poetry) and all non-fiction genres.

We can produce small print runs via print-on-demand through Printing.com in New Zealand and Amazon subsidiary CreateSpace in the USA.

We also sell and distribute other publisher’s books, magazines/periodicals and CDs.

And, in Australia, MediaCom Education Inc –

MediaCom is an ecumenical religious communications agency providing resources and training for the mainline churches of Australia. Serving the church for over 30 years, it produces a wide range of materials in the areas of Worship and Christian Education for clergy and church leaders. Since our founding in 1980 by Rev Dr Tony & Christine Nancarrow, we have grown from a small home based venture into one of the largest publishers of lectionary based curriculums, and religious magazines and periodicals in the country. In excess of 20,000 churches and individuals use our resources. MediaCom is an official agency of the South Australian Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia.

  1. Greetings each, I have long valued the work of WCC. Sadly the New Zealand NCC folded some years back. The World Council of Churches promotes Christian unity in faith, witness and service for a just and peaceful world. It’s . an ecumenical fellowship of churches founded in 1948, which today brings together 348 Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican and other churches representing more than 550 million Christians in over 120 countries, and works cooperatively with the Roman Catholic Church. The WCC general secretary is the Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, from the [Lutheran] Church of Norway. The reason for sharing this is because I believe we as ‘Church’ should be more proactive, encouraging respect and understanding amongst Christians everywhere. There is more detail on line at http://www.oikoumene.org/en. I feel we as ‘Lay Preachers’ have a valuable role fostering awareness of the fullness of the Church Universal… Shalom. Allen
